The mission of the St. Cloud Neighborhood Coalition (SCNC) is to improve the quality of life for residents of St. Cloud’s established neighborhoods by being a resource for and partnering with Participating Neighborhood organizations in order to preserve the physical integrity and unique characteristics of the neighborhoods, which may strengthen the social fabric and economic viability of the entire St. Cloud community.
Proposed SCNC Goals, August 18, 2011 board meeting:

Foster communication among participating neighborhoods
•
Identify issues specific to the participating neighborhoods
•
Support, promote, and publicize the participating neighborhoods’ efforts
•
Facilitate communication with coalition stakeholders
•
Identify and secure financial resources
•
Manage finances and financial reporting
•
Provide appropriate legal support to coalition board and participating neighborhoods
•
Provide educational opportunities for board members and participating neighborhoods
•
Celebrate achievements
•
Regularly review the operations of the coalition board
The St. Cloud Neighborhood Coalition (SCNC) is a grass-roots consortium of St. Cloud, Minnesota's older, established neighborhoods. These neighborhoods united in October, 2003 with a desire to address issues affecting the quality of life for all residents of these "at risk" neighborhoods. In August, 2008, the SCNC was recognized as a
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
